Περιγραφή

Our client, a global electrical protection and connectivity solutions manufacturer is  looking for a highly motivated New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to support its R&D and manufacturing teams during the introduction of new products. The role focuses on sourcing, qualifying, and developing suppliers for critical electronic components, with a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and manufacturability.

The responsibilities of the NPI Engineer include:

  • Partner with R&D teams to align supplier sourcing with new product requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for electronic components and assemblies.
  • Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, lead time, and compliance standards (IPC, RoHS, REACH).
  • Implement supplier quality checks and audits for electronics (e.g., PCB manufacturing, motherboard assemblies).
  • Manage procurement of components for prototypes, pilot builds, and ramp-up production.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Contribute to cost analysis, value engineering, and make-or-buy decisions.
  • Stay up to date on new technologies and supplier capabilities in the electronics industry.

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering 
  • Solid knowledge of PCB manufacturing, electronics assemblies, and quality standards (IPC, RoHS, REACH).
  • Strong technical understanding of electronic components, BOMs, and datasheets.
  • Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset).
  • 5 years of experience in electronics procurement, supplier quality, or NPI projects.
  • Experience with supplier quality processes and implementing incoming inspections.
  • Experience in electronics/semiconductor/embedded systems manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of supplier risk assessments and audits.
  • Ability to collaborate across R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
