Finance Director-Serres (Ref. 5408/FD/ESS/GR)
The Role:
Reporting to CEO, the Finance Director will have a crucial and strategic role in optimizing the financial performance of the organization and in materializing its short- and long-term financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the implementation of company’s financial planning and coordinates the preparation of a challenging company’s budget
- Prepares financial statements in accordance with the tax legislation and the Greek standards
- High-level overview of the accounting function, to ensure the smooth operation of the department and the adequate accounting controls at all levels
- Oversees continuous cost optimization actions and ensures best return of capital invested
- Provides financial reports and interprets financial information to Board of Directors, while recommending further courses of action
- Partners with the business, supports with growth initiatives and liaises with 3rd party advisors
- Corresponds with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
- Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Manages relationships with banks
- Fosters change and optimization of internal processes
- Prepares timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
- Contributes to financial audits
- Provides coaching, support and motivation to the team
Qualifications:
- BA/BSc in Economics or Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree is a plus
- At least 8 years of work experience in accounting and finance functions, in a manufacturing company
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, taxation and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Experience in preparation of Budgets, Financial Analysis and Product Cost Analysis
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and ERP software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
- Communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
- Team oriented and integrity
