MAKRIS Athens by Domes

Domes Resorts lands in Athens, introducing our first degustation restaurant in Thissio. Our talented, Michelin Starred Chef Patron Petros Dimas, alongside with a team of culinary experts will create the ultimate fine dining experience based on Greek creative cuisine.

We are currently looking for passionate Pastry professionals of all levels to join our team at Makris Athens by Domes.

Pastry Team

The role:

As part of the Pastry Team, you will contribute to the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries and baked goods, supporting the delivery of an exceptional fine dining experience. Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical and creative skills while working alongside an experienced culinary team in a Michelin-starred environment.

Some of the responsibilities you will be entrusted with:

• Prepare and produce daily and seasonal desserts, pastries and baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Support pastry production, ensuring consistency, freshness and high-quality presentation.
• Assist with the preparation, decoration and plating of desserts and pastry creations.
• Monitor ingredients and support efficient inventory management and waste reduction.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe pastry working environment.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Work collaboratively with the pastry and culinary teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Contribute ideas and creativity to the development and presentation of pastry offerings.

Useful to have:

• Culinary education or relevant pastry training will be considered an asset.
• Previous experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, hotel or fine dining environment is preferred but not essential for junior-level candidates.
• Knowledge of basic pastry and baking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Passion for pastry, creativity and willingness to learn and develop.
• Good command of English will be considered an asset.
