Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer position is full time, based in Heraklion, Crete.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will drive technical testing excellence across primary digital and operational technology frameworks.:

• Formulate and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with complex project objectives.
• Conduct end-to-end execution across functional, system integration, performance, and security testing domains.
• Monitor testing progress, track software defects using modern tools, and oversee resolutions.
• Champion the growth of test automation frameworks to increase test coverage and eliminate manual bottlenecks.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for continuous integration and regression suites.
• Partner directly with cross-functional technical teams, software vendors, and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Drive continuous testing improvements by introducing modern tools and quality assurance methodologies.  

To qualify as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you must offer extensive hands-on expertise in software quality assurance and automation. 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience executing quality assurance strategies for large-scale technical projects. 
• Possess deep knowledge of software testing methodologies spanning functional, non-functional, and integration testing.
• Demonstrate hands-on proficiency with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Show hands-on experience utilizing defect management and tracking platforms like JIRA or TestRail.
• Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience testing large-scale transport, baggage handling, passenger processing, or security systems is preferred.
