As an Industrial Buyer your main responsibilities will be :

• Conducting thorough market research, evaluating vendors/suppliers and their promotions to secure the best possible deals
• Fostering strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and negotiating terms to meet volume targets and expand the vendor base
• Monitoring inventory requests and production schedules to align procurement activities with current and anticipated resource needs
• Ensuring all selected vendors comply with service level agreements, resolving discrepancies, and updating payment forecasts and delivery schedules
• Monitoring purchase orders and contracts to proactively identify and successfully resolve potential claims in a timely manner
• Creating insightful reports for the management team to highlight key performance indicators and critical procurement data
• Managing administrative tasks, including contract preparation and maintaining data files within the company’s ERP system

The ideal candidate for the Industrial Buyer position will have:

• Minimum 3 years of proven working experience in industrial procurement and purchasing. Experience in direct procurement within heavy industry
• BSc Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Science
• Excellent command of the English language (both written and oral). Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced, expert-level skills in Excel
• Working knowledge of ERP or SAP systems is considered a significant asset
• Strong multi-tasking abilities, a proactive attitude, and the confidence to take initiatives and make quick decisions
• High attention to detail, top-notch organizational skills, and a strong problem-solving mentality
