The Head of Engineering will have the following responsibilities:

• Follows Company's Quality Policy and complies with current operational standards and legislative requirements
• Responsible for the successful implementation of highly technical or involved engineering projects in the creation and development of automatic, semi-automatic, and manually controlled production machines, auxiliary equipment, or other items presenting new or constantly changing problems of materials, customer requirements, and product use
• Direct and prioritize direct staff activities while managing overall responsibility for project engineers and technical support personnel activities
• Responsible for performance management and professional development of all engineering personnel
• Coordinate process improvement efforts with plant leadership
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP and ISO), safety policies, and good housekeeping and that safety and hazard practices are understood and followed
• Oversee acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposition of building systems, production equipment, furniture, and equipment
• Allocates resources, assigns priority to tasks, and acts as an advisor to senior management in the delivery of value-added services for Engineering
• Acts as liaison with Process Development, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Quality Assurance in developing requirements, systems, and programs
• Being accountable for developing technical subject matter expertise and providing adequate engineering resources (internally and externally) to ensure system reliability, robustness, and maximum availability
• Work to assure Quality Assurance requirements and regulatory compliance are maintained

The ideal candidate for the position must possess the following:

• BSc in Engineering, and an MSc in considered a plus
• At least 10 years in a leading engineering-maintenance function, preferably in the food or pharmacy industry
• Excellent command of English
• Computer literacy
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent people management skills
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills
