Mining Engineer (ME.01)

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious professional, to cover the position of Mining Engineer (ME.01), as part of our Quary Team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Preferred: 3-5 years progressive experience ideally in marble quarries
• University degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resources
• Master degree would be an asset
• Proficiency in English at a written and oral level is a prerequisite
• Excellent PC literacy, advanced user of Microsoft Applications
• Be able to communicate and cooperate with the team
• Be highly motivated and passionate at work

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites
• ascertaining extraction risks
• producing models or plans for possible mining sites
• planning and implementing extraction systems
• using specialist computer applications to maximise planning and production
• managing mining operations
• ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
• making sure that the equipment used is safe
• training and supervising staff
• liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff
• analysing data
• keeping records
