Procurement Specialist
Position of strategic procurement professional responsible for the end-to-end purchasing lifecycle of specific raw materials, components, equipment and external services. They oversee supplier selection, contract negotiations, market analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives to ensure supply chain stability and profitability.
Core responsibility
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute long-term strategies for specific commodities (e.g., RM, operation&maintenance materials, services) to ensure competitive pricing and avoid supply disruptions.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and organize tenders, monitoring Supplier’s performance and contract compliance over time.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data, perform cost and scenario analysis, and develop strategies to decrease overall expenditure.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations for favorable contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements
- Contracting:Leadnegotiations, establish supplier agreements, and enforce favorable terms and conditions.
- Risk Mitigation: Anticipate market shifts and execute plans to reduce supply chain disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure materials are available and meet company standards.
- Market Analysis: Monitor macroeconomic and industry trends to forecast price changes and capitalize on cost-saving.
Sourcing & Market Research
- Identify and evaluate potential supply of category (e.g. RM, operational and maintenance materials etc) within the country.
- Build market intelligence of supply & demand (upstream and downstream).
- Establish market benchmarking for fuel, lubricants etc.
- Follow the price of main drivers on the market: fuel price, labor price, energy price, inflation rate etc
Vendor Selection Support & Administration
- Make offers comparison and support vendor selection and consolidation. Initiate search for new or alternative services, materials or products & suppliers.
- Compile the supplier short list with supply capacity.
- Compare and analyze quotes, negotiate prices and conditions.
- Participate in local negotiations with suppliers and process contracts within the scope specified. Develop supplier relationships.
- Make recommendations for improvement of process, contracts, suppliers, etc.
- Make Supplier prequalification and annual evaluation and share with Suppliers with action plan for continuous performance improvement.
Supply Process
Be responsible for fulfilling the following supply activities/process:
- Prepare market analyses for certain goods and identify the potential suppliers,
- Organize Supplier Audit,
- Organize trials
- Prepare Request for quotation and run the tender
- Identify and evaluate the logistics infrastructure e.g. road etc
- Conduct a monthly meeting with Operation and Mining teams,
- Ensure regular information exchange to project team;
- Execution of contracts: PTP process

Perform work duties in accordance with Quality System Manual procedures & company policy.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Typically, 8+ years of working experience in procurement. Proven work experience as a Sourcing Manager, Procurement Manager, or commodity managment. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Vendor Management: Deep familiarity with sourcing software, vendor management systems, and contract lifecycles.

Other requirements
- Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English are required.
- SAP knowledge is preferable
