CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

On behalf of our client, an International Industrial Company, we are looking for an ambitious and international mind individual to cover the position of a Chief Accountant. The person chosen will monitor the accounting department and handle all company’s financial accounting matters for Greece.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for tax and fiscal reporting
- Responsible for the monitoring of the accounting department
- Coordinate and organize the work of the employees of the accounting department
- Coordinate the relationship with external consultants (accounting, tax, audit, lawyers)
- Annual financial statements and international principles
- Quarterly reports such as balance sheet, P&L and monthly credit reports
- Involved with the legal aspects of the company and analyze new laws
- Annual budget - analyzing the variances and discussion with the CEO and suggest improvements
- Analysis contracts of the company and insurance contracts of the company
- Credit risk and contracts with the costumers
- Cost control in cooperation with Heads
- Responsible of the software improvement and relationship with the information technology of Heads
- Bank and negotiating terms in cooperation
- Support of the CEO in different areas such as reduction terms of payment of the customers bonus to the sales people, evaluation from buy or lease assets, personnel department matters

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 4-5 years of working experience as a Chief Accountant; some related working experience in an auditing company would be considered a plus
- University degree in Accounting or Finance; a MSc degree will be an asset
- Accounting ERP’s experience; SAP experience would be ideal
- Excellent command of the English language
- Required competences: strong communication skills, teamwork, results-oriented, attention to detail, analytical skills, stress tolerance, taking initiatives, organizational skills
