Telecommunications VAS Engineer

ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, an established IT Software House, is seeking for a Telecommunications VAS Engineer to join their development team.

Telecommunications VAS Engineer (5498/TVE/ESS/GR)

Requirements:

• Translate the commercial descriptions into technical ones
• Review requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations
• Participate in technical and business meetings and eventually grow to lead Technical Projects for deploying new products, services and functionalities within the area of mobile applications & web portals
• Design solutions to integrate local, regional and global systems and services within the operator's services network. Make recommendations to Business
• Interface with vendors for technical analysis & implementation. Testing (Test Books/SIT/UAT) of the web service/API projects
• Develop test plans and procedure documents
• Development of microsites using web technologies
• Implementation of promos running in the mobile operator using JAVA
• Troubleshoot operational and customer reported issues

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer science or equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of the LINUX console (Shell Scripting)
• Good knowledge of the JAVA programming language
• Understanding of database concepts (SQL)
• Understanding of Web Services (SOAP, REST)
• Knowledge of front-end programming included HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Excellent analytical skills and ability of in depth analysis of business processes
• Excellent troubleshooting skills by reading log files and source code
• Excellent technical documentation skills
• Focus on detail, observation and organization skills
• We would appreciate the experience with Python language
• Knowledge of the Oracle SOA Suite (OSB Enterprise Service Bus, BPEL, OCSG) will be considered an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet set deadlines
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to breakdown a problem into many separate modules
• Strong team player ability with great interpersonal and communication skills
