ICAP Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking for an IT Specialist, on behalf of its client, a renowned IT services company, headquartered in Thessaloniki with presence in all over Greece and Cyprus.
Job Description:
· Install, configure, provision, test and troubleshoot virtual machines.
· Manage, monitor and solve problems in customer DataCenter infrastructure.
· Install, configure and maintain operating systems and system management tools.
· Design, implement and maintain backup and redundancy strategies.
· Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support.
· Communicate with vendors for problem escalation and resolution.
· Document system configurations.
· Follow specific contractual obligations for day to day customer support.
Candidate Profile/Desired Skills and experience
· University degree in Electronic - Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science.
· Excellent knowledge of English.
· 2 years experience in Data Center environments, maintaining servers and storage systems.
· 2 years experience with virtualization environments, mainly MS Hyper-V.
· VMware, KVM or PowerVM experience will be considered an asset.
· Software programming experience in Windows and Linux PowerShell.
· Experience in backup products.
· Experience in IBM Power Systems and relevant OS will be considered an asset.
· Outgoing personality, strong communication skills and sense of teamwork.
· Fulfilled military obligations.
· Driving license.
