The
Compensation & Benefits Manager holds a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees. This role requires a strong understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. This position will work closely with HR and other stakeholders in designing, implementing and overseeing administration of comprehensive strategies that attract, retain, and engage top talent, while ensuring compliance and competitiveness within the industry.
Responsibilities- Develop and administer compensation structures, including base pay, incentives, bonuses, and equity programs
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure the organization's compensation packages remain competitive and compliant with relevant regulations
- Determine appropriate salary ranges and pay grades, on the basis of job roles and responsibilities partnering with HR and TA
- Lead compensation benchmarking exercises and make recommendations based on vendor data, with consideration of industry trends and best practices
- Manage the annual merit increase process, including budgeting, planning, and communication with stakeholders
- Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with insurance brokers and benefit providers to negotiate favorable terms and cost-effective benefit packages
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, issues, and enrollment assistance
- Communicate benefits information to employees and provide guidance on enrollment, eligibility, and utilization
- Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel to ensure policies comply with local regulations
- Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in legislation, market conditions, and organizational needs
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits, including ERISA, ACA, and FMLA
- Generate reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and compensation and benefits related metrics and costs
- Develop communication materials and conduct training sessions to educate employees about compensation and benefits programs
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing terms to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services
- Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
