Shift Leader -Oinofyta
The Shift Leader leads and develops associates in the shift. The role drives the successful delivery of all key activities in the shift related to producing the demand requested by Planning and supply, Safety Health and Environment – SHE, quality, labor allocation, optimized cost and production execution. The Shift Leader develops a culture of ownership in the team with high action orientation and commitment for results which delivers manufacturing excellence.
Delivers the shift contribution to the Compelling Business Need – CBN, long term (Value Creation Plan – VCP) and mid-term (Annual Operations Plan – AOP) plans cascaded from the area strategy which continuously over delivers on company goals.
Delivering shift Key Performance Indicators – KPIs linked to Compelling Business Need – CBN in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Engagement (according to Key Performance Indicators -KPIs tree).
Safety Health and Environment:
• Delivers a Safety Health and Environment culture and role model behaviors. Responsible for Safety Health and Environment requirements and legislation implementation and complies to legal and corporate standards & policies.
• Instructs employees regarding job-related hazards and corresponding safety procedures. Checks if (new) employees and temporary workers possess sufficient skills and knowledge to execute the job safely.
• Supervises employees to ensure they follow the safety instructions and work safely & orderly using as an example Lock Out Tag Out Test Out – LOTOTO and permit to work –PTW.
• Immediately corrects any substandard condition or unsafe behavior. Encourages feedback routine between peers through using applicable tools such as Behavior Observation Safety – BOS. Checks that this is done to the required standard.
• Ensures safe machine and work conditions, as well as availability Personal Protective Equipment – PPE and necessary safety tools at the start of every shift.
• Participates in Risk Assessment process as required.
• Checks if work permit is adequate and execution is according to plan; takes care of technician’s/contractor’s and third party employees safety during shift.
• Reports unsafe situations and ensures adequate corrective measures are being taken on time
• Ensures that the work place is safe, clean and well ordered. Makes proposals to improve work place safety.
• Stops work when safety is at risk. Escalates with sufficient anticipation what capacity and support are required to get the job done safely.
• Reviews Safety performance as part of the daily Operations Performance meetings Structure – OPS.
• Creates a Safe and Healthy work environment by leading incident investigations and escalation of unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Escalates and implement solutions to impact risks in ergonomics and working conditions.Quality:
• Delivers a Quality culture and role model behaviors. Responsible for Quality requirements and legislation implementation and complies to legal and corporate standards & policies.
Leadership:• Organization of the process in area of responsibility – assignment of workers to working places, ensuring all raw, semi-finished and packing materials for the corresponding process and its proper recording in the ERP system with the aim to achieve the planed volume in planed time. Inform the Production Planer of any divergences from the established plans and norms
• Continuous improvement – participate in CIP work groups, report any technical problems, invite subordinates to continuously seek improvements.
• Identify the training needs of the subordinates and participate in development of training initiatives.
• Delivers excellent results within the plant and area through engaged leadership and coaching. Drives a culture of engagement and develops capabilities.
• Implement Manufacturing Operating System – MOS roll out plan with a hands on approach through using and owning the relevant tools.
• Builds an excellent and effective team.
Delivery & Cost:
• Takes full responsibility of shift losses and shift performance and creates a strong understanding of the team’s contribution to the Compelling Business Need – CBN.
• Executes the daily processes and labor to deliver the production plan.
• Identifies areas of best practice and collaborates with other shifts to generate, replicate and share with stakeholders.
• Creates standards.
• Supports team to select the correct tool to eradicate losses.
• Updates relevant information, tracking and reporting systems
