Senior C# Software Developer (.NET)

Job Description

The University of Nicosia seeks Senior C# Software Developer who will support developer teams in analyzing, designing, and building applications to ensure that it meets all declared requirements and end-user expectations. It is imperative for the candidates to be familiar with designing modular applications/programs that communicate with various systems.

Responsibilities

• Reviews requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Researching, designing, implementing, and managing applications
• Testing and evaluating new programs
• Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
• Writing and implementing efficient code
• Determining operational practicality
• Developing quality assurance procedures
• Deploying applications, tools, processes, and metrics
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
• Contribute to system documentation
• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts

• Experienced with C# and .NET Core
• Experienced with Entity Framework and MySql
• Proven work experience with REST APIs or Serverless Architecture
• Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to write clean, easy to understand code
• Experience with working in an agile environment.
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant areas

• Proven 2+ years of enterprise application development
• Experience with Oracle Database is considered highly advantageous
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD)
• Familiarity with project management (e.g. JIRA)
• Familiarity with development practices like unit testing, integration testing, etc.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g. AWS)
