Data Architect

lmw is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Architect on behalf of a leading financial institution in Athens.

Main Purpose

• Visualize and design an organization’s enterprise data management framework. This framework describes the processes used to plan, specify, enable, create, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge data

Responsibilities:

• Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data and master data
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses
• Collaborate and coordinate with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors
• Visualize, design, and prepare data in a framework that can be used by data scientists, data engineers, or data analysts
• Assist in developing scalable and maintainable BI applications to meet business objectives
• Collaborate with BI Administrators, Developers and Analysts for successful development of BI reporting and analysis solutions
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities for BI tools
• Recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of BI tools
• Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents
• Provide technical training on BI tools to junior staffs

• BSc in Economics or Data Science (MSc is considered a plus)
• 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Technical experience in designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting multi-gigabyte data warehouses
• Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server database platform and SQL Server reporting and Analytics Services (SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS)
• Deep understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint platform
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence, data architecting, data mining, large scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering / analysis
• Familiarity with network architecture and performance requirements
• In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems
