Part time Lecturers in Psychology

New York College Thessaloniki seeks to appoint part-time lecturers of Psychology in the following fields (UG: Undergraduate Level; PG: Postgraduate Level) including but not limited to:

• UG: Abnormal Psychology (Code: PAB)
• UG: Behavioral Psychology Code: PBE) 
• UG: Biopsychology (Code: PBI) 
• UG: Cognitive Psychology (Code: PCOG) 
• UG: Counseling (Code: PCOU) 
• UG: Experimental Psychology (Code: PEX) 

Appointments will be made as follows:

1. Submission of CVs and Cover Letters by 13/09/2020.

2. Notification of applicants eligible for Demo Teaching and Interview by 15/09/2020

3. Demo Teaching and Interviews from 16/09/2020 to 18/09/2020

4. Notification of appointments by 22/09/2020

Essential criteria of applicants:

• A Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in a related field
• Proven fluency in English
• 2-year teaching experience for UG level
• Experience of course design and use of IT for teaching
• Effective communication and time/workload management skills
• Teamworking skills
• Permit to work in Greece (if applicable)
• Valid number of Record of College Tutors (“Mitroo Didaskonton Kollegion”) by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs

Desirable criteria of applicants:

• A PhD (or near completion) or extended professional experience in a related field
• Supervision of student thesis 
• More than 2-year teaching experience
• Active research portfolio or demonstrated ability and willingness to build one 
• Active professional and/ or academic network 

• Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with demonstrable qualifications
