lmw is seeking a dynamic and experienced 3D Design Engineer, experienced in wood fabrication, on behalf of a leading company specialized in the production and delivery of luxury custom made interiors.
Responsibilities- Design production drawings (with details as materials and joinery details) in 3D environment following workshop drawings
- Provide technical solutions to production drawings and solve them to help manufacturing
- Document all technical design issues
- Research hardware specifications and apply them to drawings
- Apply nesting and CNC programming in 2D and 3D depending on item to be cut
- Create final work packages for production including detail drawings, assembly and installation drawings, cutting lists and construction details
- Deliver final weight reports for Lead Engineer
- Maintain drawings and designs documents in conjunction with 3D Team Leader requirements
- Communicate with manufacturing personnel to create detailed layouts prior to production to ensure deliverables include all relevant design details
