Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we are currently looking for a passionate Li-ion Cell Process Engineer to join our R&D Li-ion cell team based in Xanthi, Greece. This role is critical for the development of our Lithium cells portfolio as you will be involved in the Li-ion cell equipment design, factory and on site (Xanthi) acceptance tests, set up, ramp-up and daily operation as part of the IPCEI project (Important Project of Common European Interest). You will have the chance to greatly impact the product development, from the initial concept to B and C samples production on the cell pilot line.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:- Participate in Equipment Design Review and lead parts of it
- Work closely with the Cell Design & Cell Process Design teams to ensure a robust cell design for manufacturing, including raw material selection and validation
- Prepare FAT & SAT protocols
- Oversee installation of equipment of the Pilot Line
- Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner
- Establish SOPs & OPLs and provide the relevant training
- Establish Autonomous Maintenance concept & train the team for implementation
- Implement 5S methodology and provide relevant training to the line team
- Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve equipment, costs, and labor required
- Diagnosing problems in the production line and leading troubleshooting and training
- Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also minimize the carbon footprint
- Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices
- Obtaining materials and equipment required for R&D campaigns
- Lead and/or support technicians and trainee engineers
- Train people within own work group
- Supervise sub-contractors
