Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the flow of guests within the restaurant.
- Maintain and ensure cleanliness and well-organized dining room, overseeing the arrangement of tables, lighting, music, cleanliness, hygiene standards in the dining area.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens and train staff to do as well.
- Coordinate and manage special events, private parties, and functions, ensuring smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee, pro-actively deal and address customer complaints or issues promptly.
- Lead and support the team in delivering exceptional service, guiding staff to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements and overall floor operations during service.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and preparation of the dining area at all times.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally, addressing issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Train and monitor team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Support inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of supplies, and assist in ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure a seamless flow of orders and service.
- Engage with guests, managing special requests and resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with hotel and industry regulations.
Position requirements
- At least 2 years working experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* or 5* hotel
- Excellent knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of POS/PDA ordering software and HACCP-ISO procedures.
- Strong leadership ability, calm under pressure and to deescalate tense interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
