Summary of function:
Maintain and efficient and hospitable Food and Beverage service to guests and customers of the bar.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Ensure correct stock is requisitioned, checked and stored in bar
2. Ensure daily float is collected
3. See that bar is to the correct standard prior to opening
4. Responsible for the complete bar service to guest
5. Responsible for the cleanliness of the bar area, including fixtures and fittings
6. Ensure sufficient clean equipment is available
7. Ensure table service is carried out
8. Ensure billing of guest accurate and accounts procedures are carried out
9. Balance the till in the absence of the Bar Manager or a Supervisor
10. See that no drinks are issued out without valid check or transfer form
11. Ensure that all drinks served comply with the laws in relation to licensing and weights and measures
12. Report anything considered a health and safety hazard
13. Assist in Dispense Bar when necessary
14. Prevent the abuse and/or destruction of hotel property.
15. Ensure knowledge of geography and culture of Cyprus
General responsibilities
1. To attend any meeting or training sessions as required by management.
2. To be conversant with:
a) The Hotel Fire Procedures
b) The Hotel and Company Security Procedures
c) The Hotel Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
d) The Hotel facilities and attractions
e) Current Licensing regulations (Food and Beverage Service department only)
f) Methods of payment accepted by the Company (cash handling staff only)
g) Hotel operation standards and department procedures
3. To adhere to the company’s policies and procedures for quality, environment and food safety.
