Technical Manager

Our company, on behalf of its client,an innovative, high technology company - widely known for its corporate products and solutions in Wireless Sensor Networks Applications (located in Athens), seeks to cover the position of the:

Technical Manager 

Responsibilities:

• Possesses significant knowledge of complex database concepts, various programming languages, client/server and internet systems architectures.
• Manages multiple technical teams within budget and project schedule.
• Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements .
• Promotes and coordinates technical knowledge harvesting within the organization.
• Supports strategic sales efforts from a technical perspective .
• Consistently delivers high-quality services to the company’s clients .
• Represents the company at industry events and Consistently published in technical / trade journals, writes white papers on chosen technical expertise, or speaks at industry events.
• Handles difficult personnel situations directly, HR advice, and respect for the individual .
• Participate in all programs and enforces all policies relating to performance evaluations and career development planning.
• Mentors key technical staff & manages the development of (senior) technical mgrs.
• Enforces standard policies and procedures .

Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology industry
• 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory position
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Project management experience
• Fluent in English

Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in maritime industry
- Previous experience in R&D projects management
- Previous experience on wireless sensors network technologies
- MSc degree or relevant
