Application Specialist in Life Sciences

An international marketing and distribution company that specializes in sourcing, supplying and supporting life science solutions is seeking to recruit an Application Specialist to join our team in Athens, Greece.

As an Application specialist you will be responsible for proactively promoting company’s product portfolio to our customer base with focus to Pharmaceutical Industry customers.

Essential Responsibilities

- Work closely with Sales and Marketing Manager and Country managers to provide application expertise in support of sales process and new market opportunities

- Provide pre-sales support to the sales force and direct customers

- Maintaining up to date product presentations/keeping up to date with vendor’s product offerings

- Developing expertise and product knowledge in the range of products offered

- Performing sales activities through onsite / online product presentations

- On site visits or customer calls to define their requirements for providing and preparing individual quotations

- Perform customer demonstrations on site

- Proactively identifying new business opportunities, through networking and communications, to find new prospects

- Participating in Trade-shows, Conferences and Technical / Sales Seminars

- Registering sales leads and Update Company’s CRM

- Provide after sales application support via email, telephone and customer visits along with seminars in the countries we serve

Απαραίτητα Προσόντα

Qualifications/Requirements

- University Degree in Life Sciences (Biologist/Chemist)

- Postgraduate studies or MSc on Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry and any other relevant field are positively considered

- Process & analytical knowledge will be considered as a strong asset

- Experience in customer facing role, able to deliver presentation to customers

- Organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail and problem solving skills

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills

- Proficiency in English is a must. Fluency in French and/or German will be considered a strong asset

- Computer skills (MS Office pack)

- Ability to travel 50-60% of work time
