Backend PHP Developer

QuadraWeb is a fast-growing company providing Information Systems Services in Athens, with specialization in Web Development & Software Engineering.

As a Backend Developer you will be responsible for specifying, building, and maintaining, our wide range of applications around the areas of blockchain, health & web/mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Perform Unit tests to optimize performance
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features
• Working with stakeholders to understand and document software requirements and
• Follow emerging technologies
• Implement data protection and security principles

Basic Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Web Development
• Significant skills in PHP, MySQL, third party libraries, APIs, and web service architectures
• Strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of Database concepts
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Also, as a part of our team, you have to be familiar with:

• RESTful APIs.
• Modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial
• Benchmarking and optimization

Good to have

• Experience with PHPDoc & Unit Testing
• Experience with Composer (PHP)
• Experience with WordPress REST API
• Experience with WPGraphQL library
