Innovation Manager

A Group of Companies in innovation management and technology transfer in the field of advance materials and nano-technologies, is currently seeking for an Project Manager – Innovation Manager, with a degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration.

Responsibilities
• Facilitate member working groups stimulating innovative ideas and testing of new approaches
• Identify, write and manage complimentary EC funding applications. This could include bidding activities under EU programmes (e.g. Horizon2020) and national programmes and identifying partners and funding calls.
• Conceive and manage research contracts on innovative technical solutions of interest to the working groups
• Undertake project management and reporting as needed in EC or national funded projects
• Identify and manage project risks
• Provide documentation on project status and progress
• Draft reports and deliverables
• Organise dissemination and capacity building events (e.g. conferences, workshops), as well as implement dissemination and awareness raising activities (e.g. newsletters, press releases)
• Participate to project meetings with consortium partners
• Contribute to expanding the company’s s network of collaborating organisations

• University Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• Excellent academic background, preferably holing a PhD degree in the field of Business Administration
• Experience in project management and especially in managing EC funded projects
• Applied experience in implementing innovative solutions to technical challenges
• Excellent levels of spoken and written English and experience in preparing reports
• Excellent communication skills
• Well-organised, with strong process management skills and an ability to establish and work to priorities
• Team building and management skills
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Honesty and Self-driven work ethic
• Curiosity and the desire to keep learning
• Experience working as part of a team and good interface with teams and people
• Knowledge of the German language is an advantage

• Term: This is intended as a long term position with probationary period of 6 months
• Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications including asSignificant bonus potential.
• Working hours: Based on a full equivalent of 40 hours per week. The company operates a Flexible Working Policy and is happy to consider applications for flexible working after the relevant qualification period has passed.
• Travelling: The post holder will be required to undertake international travel including overnight stays
