On behalf of our client, UWORC is recruiting an experienced and ambitious Restaurant Captain for this summer season at Tinos.
The restaurant’s Executive Chef holds 1 Michelin Star, therefore fine dining background is essential.
What to expect:- Maximum of 9 working hours per day.
- Payment on time.
- All wages and benefits are included as required by law.
- Three meals per day.
- Accommodation inside or outside the establishment with or without cohabitation (maximum number of people in the room depending on room measurements).
- Training and Development.
The Role:- Train and develop restaurant service team.
- Checking in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service.
- Monitoring the restaurant’s cash flow and settling outstanding bills.
- Reviewing customer surveys to develop and implement ways to improve customer service.
- Assist guest with table reservation.
- Ensure guest are serviced within specified time.
- Has a good knowledge of menu, wines and presentation standards.
- Able to answer any questions regarding menu and assist with menu selections.
- Able to anticipate any unexpected guest need and reacts promptly and tactfully.
- Always applies service techniques correctly at all times, and serving Food & Beverage items with enthusiasm.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding any menu questions, the length of wait and product availability.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages.
- Perform shift closing on the Point of sales terminal and tally cash and credit card settlements.
- Ensures that the restaurant is always kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house areas.
- Ensures that hotel brand standards and SOP's are consistently implemented.
- Work with fellow colleagues and manager to ensure that the restaurant achieves its full potential.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
- Conducts monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.

- Able to speak Greek and English clearly and fluently. A third foreign language will be considered an asset.
- Proven experience working as a restaurant captain in the hospitality industry.
