Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to deliver friendly and efficient customer service while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our customers. Lead the staff whilst on their shift, and to monitor their duties. Handle work-related problems and resolve them. Ultimately, to be able to provide an excellent overall guest experience.
Key Accountabilities of the Role:
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure that the customers receive high quality services
- Greet customers and present menu
- Make menu recommendations or share additional information upon request
- Working closely with all serving and kitchen staff
- Take and serve food/drinks orders and up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Check products for quality and correct any problems
- Deliver checks and collect payments
- Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
- Confers with Manager or catering department concerning banquet arrangements for food service, equipment, employees and production records.
- Observes and evaluates employees' performance to devise methods for improving efficiency.
- Arrange table settings and maintain tables clean and tidy
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum experience of 3 years in 4 star hotels or high end restaurants in similar position
- High school diploma; food safety training will be considered a plus
- Hotel/Food and Beverage studies with restaurant or dining room option
- Service orientation and excellent organizational skills
- Hands on experience with cash register and any ordering information system
- Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner
- Able to up sell on products
- Multi tasking capability without compromising on quality
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Self motivated with good energy levels
- Good physical condition
- Good English
