Procurement Specialist
Position overview:
The role holder is responsible of managing Vendors Database, Procurement Planning, managing the Procurement Department’s software, participating in MRP, Procurement reporting.
The position reports to the Procurement Coordinator.
The job holder will be based in Xanthi and the role’s main responsibilities will be:
- Organize cost reduction projects
- Keep track of the procurement procedure in every step
- Provide administration for the Procurement Department software
- Manage existing vendors database and sourcing for new ones
- Negotiate terms and prices with Vendors
- Visit vendors in order to verify their capacity and technical competence
- Prepare reports and forecasts
Position requirements:
- University Degree, preferably in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential - knowledge of other foreign languages, will be considered a plus
- Excellent computer knowledge especially MS OFFICE software, familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and practices
- Integrity and accountability are considered the most important requirements
- Technical orientation and willingness to acquire technical knowledge in order to understand the base needs of the industry
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels
- Excellent cooperation, and organizational skills
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on results
- Ability to prioritize, and manage tie effectively
- Self-motivated
