Machine Learning specialist for a software development project

Duties

• Work with machine learning engineers to design, develop or improve intelligent systems and applications.
• Design server-side and/or client-side architecture depending on application. 
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
•  Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications. 
• Create effective APIs. 
• Test software to ensure normal operation, responsiveness and efficiency. 
• Create security and data protection settings. 
• Write technical documentation.

Technical Skills: 

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience as a full stack developer/engineer or similar role. 
• Able to write robust code in Python and comfortable with development on Linux environment. 
• Experience building and deploying scalable applications/REST API’s using tools such as Django/Flask. 
• Comfortable with distributed version control (Git). 
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design. 
• Knowledge of back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js) 
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery). 
• Knowledgeable in Object-Oriented and design patterns, able to write robust, clean, and maintainable code. 

Good to have:

• Familiar with machine learning and statistics (familiarity with natural language processing and deep learning techniques and frameworks, such as Tensorflow, Keras, is a plus).
• Familiar with Agile methodology. 
• Familiar with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB). 
• Previous background in working with machine learning or data engineering teams. 
• Familiar with Docker / Kubernetes.
