Web Developer

You will be responsible for:

•     Developing applications with modern technologies and agile practices, from the design phase to the testing and performance monitoring phase
•     Participate in the design of the backend API and data models of the applications that draw information from the main institutional databases

You will need to:

•     Be passionate about modern development practices
•     Be willing to pilot and then introduce new tools
•     Be proactive, take ownership, focus on problem solving more than problem finding and think about continuous improvement

It is strongly desirable to have:

•     Good working knowledge of a programming language, Javascript, PHP, Java
•     Experience with a respective development framework, such as express, laravel, spring
•     Experience in consuming REST APIs
•     Basic understanding of databases and data models
•     Ability to produce clear development and user documentation
•     Knowledge of simple code management techniques, handling code repositories like git, branching, merging, pull requests

Great to have:

•     Ability to create REST APIs with modern frameworks
•     Knowledge of container techniques for developers (e.g. Docker)
•     Experience with any cloud application hosting services AWS, Google Apps, Azure, Heroku, Digital Ocean
•     Experience in continuous integration
•     Experience in Open Source projects
