Control and Purchasing Manager
Location: Ouranoupolis, Chalkidiki
Duration: 9-month contract
Position Summary:
The Control and Purchasing Manager will oversee the activities of the control department and manage the inventory of all kind of materials and food and beverage items for the hotels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make a market research for better quality and price offers; purchases large and complex items
- Negotiate best pricing terms, monitor pricing changes and complete contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve problems regarding delivery, quality and prices
- Review purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies
- Develop and maintain inventory databases for supplies and materials used including up to date pricing; keep all records in a way that they can be checked at any time for information or audit purposes
- Collect all offers from suppliers on food, beverage and materials, organize and supervise the order procedure for the best operation of all departments
- Oversee monthly food and beverage inventories count and extension; monitor inventories to increase inventory turnover
- Cooperate with other colleagues, managers and suppliers and maintain strong relationships
- Prepare and analyze food and beverage costs and recommend alternatives to improve costs; develop menu costing in order to establish menu item sale prices
- Oversee invoicing for all kind of purchases to ensure invoices processed on time and upon contract pricing
- Secure that the suppliers follow the rules relating to the hygiene of goods delivered; manage proper storage especially of all food and beverage items
- Prepare reports for management information and improve the profitability of all outlets
