Marine / Yacht Insurance Broker
Job Description
•Gather information from prospective clients, evaluate their risk profile, assess their insurance needs and create well-structured presentations for Underwriters.
•Prepare broking submissions, negotiate and place marine insurance policies for the existing portfolio of the company and any potential new clients.
•Compare and evaluate the offered terms in order to present the most suitable solution to the clients.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, clients, brokers, surveyors etc.
•Follow up premium collection within the respective deadlines, review insurance contracts and keep the insurance database updated.
•Monitor current accounts, inform underwriters of any alterations, and appropriately amend coverage based on any changes.
•Handle insurance claims in order to ensure they are settled adequately for both the client and the insurer.
Απαραίτητα Προσόντα
Candidate Profile
•Bachelor’s degree
•At least two (2) years of experience in marine insurance industry.
•Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
•Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
•Ability to manage, prioritize projects, work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of detail.
•Able to operate effectively within role with minimal supervision.
•Ability to qualify for required licenses.
•Attend insurance seminars and remain informed of any changes in the insurance industry.
•Attending local boat shows.
