As a Mechanical Design Engineer your main responsibilities will be to:

• Use advanced CAD/CAE systems for 3D and 2D design and drafting tasks for components, systems, piping networks and metallic structures
• Perform engineering studies for the successful implementation of the system on new building and retrofit installations by analyzing customer requirements, technical challenges and international rules
• Participate in the Product Development through inception, proposal and successful completion of internal projects that will bring new technologies and/or new design, manufacturing and installation methods
• Collaborate with other departments and/or subcontractors for the successful execution of system installation projects by effectively applying engineering principles and techniques, participate in design review meetings and provide technical solutions in accordance with the international standards and rules
• Provide technical support to other departments
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, subcontractors and classification societies to resolve technical problems
  

The position of Mechanical Design Engineer is just the right one for you if you possess the following:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related Engineering field
• Minimum 3-5 years of previous relevant experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Previous experience in the Marine Industry would be considered an asset
• Very good knowledge of Solidworks, Autocad or other similar CAD and CAE tools
• Previous experience with ERP and PDM software would be highly evaluated
• Good knowledge of English
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment
• Multitasking and ability to handle a number of projects in parallel
• Self-motivated, well organized, highly collaborative, team player
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Customer oriented
• Analytical thinking and decision-making skills
