Conference & Events Manager

MED SEA HEALTH S.A. is currently recruiting for its new 5* hotel Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort in Paliouri, Kassandra, Halkidiki, for the following position:
Conference & Events Manager 

Scope:
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales within the limits of the established policies and procedures oversees and implements all events activities in his/her specific area of responsibility. 

Main Responsibilities:
• Executes all sales action plans related to conferences, social events and meetings keeping strict deadlines & detailed follow ups.
• Organizes and attends all event functions (i.e. trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, associations, social events) that deal specifically with banqueting and meeting events.
• Establishes and maintains files on major active accounts within his/her designated area(s).
• Arranges and executes FAM/and Site inspection trips to hotels by major clients and accompanies clients.
• Maintains a clear and consistent path of communication with all hotel departments.
• Maintains a high level of exposure in the hotel major market areas through direct sales solicitation; telephone contacts, and written communications.
• Establishes and monitor a Monthly Sales Report by addressing all major contact details as well as grading the potential business outlook (enquiry, tentative or confirmed).
• Monitors new accounts and monthly productivities and report back.
• Responsible to send a weekly BQT & Events Forecast and contact weekly Banqueting meetings with all operational departments ensuring that all information is clearly communicated

• Excellent command of the Greek and English language
• Knowledge of a third language (i.e. German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, etc.) will be valued accordingly
• Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Hospitality/Tourism
• Master’s Degree in a related field will be considered an asset
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and of at least one PMS software (ie. Protel, Fidelio, etc.)
• At least 2-5 years’ experience
• Experience of leading/supervising teams is a must, strong leadership and team-building skills are required
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, professional attitude, with a strong customer-focused approach
• Proactive, strategic, very organized, with business acumen
• Excellent numerical skills, understanding of KPIs and analytical thinking
• Hands-on approach, flexible, able to work efficiently under pressure, with a positive attitude
