Part Time Lecturers in Computer Science

New York College Thessaloniki seeks to appoint part-time lecturers in the following fields of Computer Science (UG: Undergraduate Level; PG: Postgraduate Level) including but not limited to:

• UG: Application Development (Code: CAD)
• UG: Databases and Data Analysis (Code: CDBA) 
• UG: Linux (Code: CLI)
• UG: Networks (Code: CNE) 

Appointments will be made as follows:

1. Submission of CVs and Cover Letters by 22/09/2020  

2. Notification of applicants eligible for Demo Teaching and Interview by 23/09/2020 

3. Demo Teaching and Interviews from 24/09/2020 to 25/09/2020 

4. Notification of appointments by 29/09/2020 

Note: CVs and Cover Letters submitted after 22/09/2020 are welcome but they will be most likely considered for future teaching vacancies

Essential criteria of applicants:

• A Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in a related field
• Proven fluency in English
• 2-year teaching experience for UG level
• Experience of course design and use of IT for teaching
• Effective communication and time/workload management skills 
• Teamworking skills 
• Permit to work in Greece (if applicable) 
• Valid number of Record of College Tutors (“Mitroo Didaskonton Kollegion”) by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs 

Desirable criteria of applicants:

• A PhD (or near completion) or extended professional experience in a related field
• Supervision of student thesis 
• More than 2-year teaching experience 
• Active research portfolio or demonstrated ability and willingness to build one   
• Active professional and/ or academic network 

• Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with demonstrable qualifications
